David Beckham looked in high spirits today as he returned to the UK with his family ahead of his 50th birthday celebrations – but his eldest son Brooklyn was notably absent
David Beckham appeared in high spirits ahead of his lavish 50th birthday celebrations at a posh central London restaurant tonight, despite doubts over his son Brooklyn’s attendance.
The football legend, who celebrated his 50th birthday yesterday, looked as stylish as ever in a navy blue shirt as he stepped off the private jet upon its arrival at Luton Airport.
He was accompanied by his devoted wife Victoria, who paid a heartfelt tribute to him on his special day, and three of their four children; Cruz, Romeo and Harper.

The family arrived at the London airport following a trip to France. It’s thought they travelled from Oxford in a £40million Bombardier Global for a wine-infused stopover in Bordeaux, before heading to Paris for an elegant family dinner.
However, his eldest son Brooklyn, who is married to Nicola Peltz, was noticeably absent from the family trip, after reportedly spending some time together in Paris.
Brooklyn’s conspicuous absence comes amid rumours of another rift between him and the rest of the Beckham family, allegedly sparked by his brother Romeo’s new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.
Victoria looked stunning in a bright red short-sleeved top and dark blue jeans as she disembarked from the private jet.
The former Spice Girls member, 51, clung onto her handbag and added a pair of oversized sunglasses with dark lenses to her outfit, an accessory she has become renowned for over the years, reports the Mirror.
Ahead of his landmark birthday celebration tonight, which is rumoured to have a star-studded guest list, David was spotted looking sharp in a navy short-sleeved shirt and matching trousers. He was seen grinning broadly as he descended the plane’s steps.
Airport staff were observed assisting the Manchester United legend with transferring luggage from the private jet to a waiting Rolls Royce.
Unperturbed by whispers of a growing divide within his close-knit family, David was seen generously tipping the staff.
The couple’s three children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, were also seen disembarking the plane, along with Romeo’s girlfriend Kim and Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel.
The couple’s only daughter, 13 year old Harper Seven, donned a grey long-sleeved jumper, relaxed jeans, and black Adidas trainers as she prepared to exit the jet.
Meanwhile, 20 year old Cruz wore a grey long-sleeved polo top and trousers, taking a leaf out of his fashion designer mother’s book with a pair of dark, oversized sunglasses as he descended the jet’s steps.
Romeo, 22, and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, 25, were also seen with the group. Romeo wore a black hoodie with a beige top peeking out from the bottom, matching black trousers, and a black baseball cap worn backwards.
He followed behind his girlfriend Kim, who coordinated with her boyfriend in a black jumper.
