Oscar Lopez Dead, Fedir Latsenko Arrested after Hit-and-Run Skateboard Crash on 6th Street [Los Angeles, CA]

22-Year-Old Skateboarded Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision near Catalina Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 1, 2025) – Early Thursday morning, Oscar Lopez was killed and Fedir Latsenko was arrested after a hit-and-run skateboard crash on 6th Street.

The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m., at the intersection of 6th and Catalina Street. Per reports, the driver of a gray 4-door sedan struck the 22-year-old skateboarder.

Upon impact, the driver fled the scene and a trail of car parts were left along the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the pedestrian later identified as Lopez, dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, authorities were able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Latsenko.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. The loved ones of Lopez set up a GoFundMe page to help with costs during this time.
