Websters Family Butchers opens new Selby town centre store

Carl Webster has opened Websters Family Butchers in Selby’s Market Cross Shopping Centre.

The new shop is inside the former Selby Butchers unit, near Holland and Barret and EE.

It is Carl’s first time setting up his own businesses, after more than 30 years in the trade.

Carl trained in butchery at Thomas Danby College in Leeds and has worked for companies across the region, including Riverside Butchers in Stamford Bridge.

Carl’s wife Caroline as well as son and daughters George, Lilly and Beth will also be helping in the shop.

“I’m really pleased to be using my years of experience in the industry to open my own traditional family butcher,” Carl said.

“The welcome we’ve already had from local people has been incredible and I’m really pleased to be opening my own business here in Selby and being part of the community at Market Cross.”
