The New York Giants have navigated this offseason with a lack of direction and have been largely ineffective in putting the team in a better position than last season. After striking out on Justin Fields and Aaron Rodgers, New York took a unique approach.

They signed two experienced quarterbacks, Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. With the Giants sitting at the third pick in the draft, it doesn’t make much sense for them to take quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
The best players likely to be available at No. 3 include Sanders’ teammate, dual-threat Travis Hunter, and defensive end Abdul Carter, for example. ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky made a strong point suggesting that Sanders shouldn’t want to go third to New York.
“If I was Shedeur Sanders, I wouldn’t want to go three,” Orlovsky said on ESPN’s Get Up. “I would want to fall to at least nine. If I’m Shedeur Sanders, I look at the New York Giants, who have given up the most pressures in the last two years on their quarterbacks… I don’t want to walk into that situation.”
A valid point, especially when considering a front office with only one year to prove itself. Check out the video of the former Lions quarterback explaining why New York may not be the ideal landing spot for Sanders.
