YUIME, which develops human resource support services for primary industries, announced on the 14th that it has raised 750 million yen in Series B funding. This is an additional fundraising to the Series B round announced in January this year, through a third-party allotment of shares to KDDI Regional Initiatives Fund, The Norinchukin Bank Innovation Fund, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, GLIN Impact Capital, and JR East Startup. The total amount raised has reached 1.05 billion yen.
The company offers multiple services aimed at solving social issues such as the aging and shortage of primary industry workers. The main services provided include “YUIWORK,” which supports labor through specified skilled foreign workers; “YUIMARU Japan,” which supports the recruitment of Japanese core personnel; “YUIME Japan,” a problem-solving media; and “YUIME FARM,” a self-operated test farm.
YUIWORK is characterized by an agricultural human resource support system based on inter-regional cooperation, offering a service that allows securing human resources “when needed, as much as needed.” YUIMARU Japan is the industry’s first direct recruitment-type job site that allows producers to directly approach the human resources they seek. YUIME Japan is a problem-solving platform specialized for primary industries, where more than 100 experts respond to concerns of agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers nationwide.
In recent years, the relationship with foreign workers in Japan has changed significantly.
In the agricultural field of specified skilled workers, which is YUIME’s main business area, the acceptance of Specified Skilled Worker (i) began in 2019, and coexistence as Specified Skilled Worker (ii) has been progressing since 2024. Additionally, it has been decided to abolish the Technical Intern Training Program by 2027, and it is expected that it will be consolidated into “Nurturing Employment” and “Specified Skilled Worker” in the future.
This funding is expected to be used to develop platform-type businesses centered on human resource support services focused on overseas personnel
