Adin Ross lit up his livestream on Friday, April 18, with a passionate rant about Karmelo Anthony’s bail release. After the court lowered his bond from $1 million to $250,000 and placed him on house arrest, Adin shared his reaction.

“He killed someone & he’s out, how does that work?” Ross said. “I’m not disrespecting anyone, I’m just being real. If you’re getting bullied in school, tell your teachers or parents.”

Karmelo’s Mom Speaks Out Press Conference

Karmelo’s mother, Kala Hayes, broke her silence at a press conference on Thursday, April 17, in Dallas, Texas. She addressed the threats and harassment her family has faced since the incident. Kala stated that her husband had to take a leave of absence from work to protect their family, according to ABC News.

In the wake of this tragic incident, our family has been under attack. Whatever you think what happened between Karmelo and the Metcalf boy, my three younger children, my husband, and I didn’t do anything to deserve to be threatened, harassed, and lied about,” Hayes said.

Kala demanded her son’s right to due process, declaring, “Karmelo deserves the same rights under the law as everyone else.” She also expressed deep sympathy for Metcalf’s family, saying, “My heart truly goes out to the family who suffered this loss,” while thanking supporters and urging for patience during the legal process.
