PerkUP, which operates a one-stop arrangement service for corporate retreats and offsite meetings, announced on the 3rd that it has raised a total of 50 million yen in a seed round through the issuance of J-KISS type stock acquisition rights to Shinshu Startup and Succession Support Fund, and loans from Japan Finance Corporation and Ueda Shinkin Bank. This brings the company’s total funding to 100 million yen.
PerkUP was founded in September 2020. Based in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, the company operates in the tourism DX field. The company’s “Co-workation.com” is a service that mediates with facilities nationwide for large-group stay programs planned by companies, such as offsite meetings and team-building retreats, and arranges everything from accommodation reservations to training and experience content.
Experts propose the optimal venues for companies from hotels, ryokans, and conference facilities, and arrange facilities based on conditions such as area, schedule, and number of people. Furthermore, it is possible to respond with customized solutions, such as proposing training and activities as a set based on requests like wanting to deepen interaction among members or having a barbecue in nature. The service also includes arranging various equipment and creating a “travel guide” that summarizes information such as program outlines and schedules.
Using the knowledge gained from operating Co-workation.com, PerkUP is developing a new service, “MEETSCUL,” which matches regional tourism operators with corporate group travelers. A demonstration experiment is scheduled to begin in Nagano Prefecture from April 2025.
The funds raised this time will be used to strengthen product development, build a customer success system, and promote regional collaboration in preparation for the release of the MEETSCUL service.
