Brynn Whitfield SLAMS ‘RHONY’ Cast for Not Having Real Jobs!
Brynn Whitfield is setting the record straight on her career—and throwing a little shade while she’s at it.
During a recent appearance on the Trading Secrets podcast, the Real Housewives of New York City star declared that she’s the only cast member who works a “full-time job,” while subtly calling out her co-stars for what she described as less traditional or outdated careers.
“I’m the only one that works a full-time job on my cast,” Brynn said on the show, identifying herself as a marketing consultant for major corporations. “We have influencers, we have models, we have art curators.”
Without naming names at first, she went on to point out that some of her castmates haven’t been active in their industries recently. “We have people that did work at J. Crew three years ago but now they’re just, like, honorary positions,” she quipped—an apparent reference to Jenna Lyons, who formerly served as J. Crew’s creative director and president.
She didn’t stop there. Brynn also threw shade at cast member Erin Lichy, saying, “We have, like, a real estate agent that hasn’t sold a house in seven years.” Despite her pointed commentary, Brynn did offer some praise. “They’re all very successful and making money,” she said. “They’re all starting businesses and being entrepreneurs.”
Still, the Bravo star insisted that what sets her apart is having a more conventional schedule. “They’re just not doing the boring ass job that most of America does,” she said. “I sit at a desk and I make decks and I go on Zoom calls. There’s nothing glamorous about that.”
According to Brynn, her consulting work commands a substantial rate—about $630 an hour—but it’s rarely shown on RHONY due to client confidentiality. “Consulting is not glamorous,” she admitted. “It pays well, but it’s not glamorous.”
Brynn also addressed persistent rumors that she’s financially supported by wealthy men, a topic that’s followed her since her debut on the series. “It’s out of my control if you don’t get to see me working, and only see one side of me,” she said, reiterating that her job is real and private.
Back in September 2023, she clapped back at a fan who suggested she was a “sugar baby,” replying that she’s “more decorated than most” and has a résumé that’s “five pages long.”
Radio host Jeff Lewis even weighed in last year, fueling speculation by saying Brynn may be financially “supplemented”—though he clarified he never labeled her an escort or prostitute.
Regardless of the rumors, Brynn appears unbothered and confident in her career. “I will never apologize for working a real job,” she said. “That’s just who I am.”
