Carrie Coon Reacts to Viral Sprinting Moment in 'The White Lotus' - CelebrityKind || Positive Celebrity News

*Spoilers Ahead – Friends, if you have not watched ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 finale just yet, do not – I repeat – do NOT read on. The rest of you, let’s chat!

Last night’s finale of The White Lotus has left the internet with two things on our minds:

the tragic deaths of lovers Chelsea and Rick in the shootout (horrific!) and
Laurie’s sprint as soon as the shots were fired!

I mean, did you see that woman run? She did not look back to her friends. She just bolted to save herself! Understandable given the situation?

Now, actor Carrie Coon who portrays Laurie in the series is reacting to all the viral memes praising her for her epic sprint. Speaking to Variety, Carrie says, “There wasn’t direction. I knew the gunshot was going to happen, and we were going to run into the bushes, essentially.”

She continues, “Look, I’m an American and a New Yorker, and if you think I don’t know where the exists are in any building, then you’re not paying attention to the news. I thought, what would a person do? A person would f***ing run, would book it, and I’m fast! I’m not as fast as I used to be!”

The shootout is not the only scene where Carrie’s character is seen sprinting either. You might remember she makes a big dash for it after her one-night stand too.

Interestingly, it turns out Carrie was in fact a sprinter back in the day – According to Runner’s World, she placed second at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships in 2000 after completing the 400m in 59.36 seconds!

This third season of The White Lotus has been hugely popular, with a record 6.2 million people tuning in for the final episode. Per Variety, that’s a 30% improvement on the previous season record.
