During his visit to the US in February, Modi met the Tesla chief in Washington and discussed various issues including space, mobility, technology and innovation.
The EV-maker is preparing to enter India, the world’s third largest auto market that has long eluded Musk due to New Delhi’s import policies.
Another Musk company, Starlink, recently tied-up with telecom giants Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel to offer satellite internet service in the country.
