Do you get tired of buying chargers separately for new phones? So there’s some relief on the horizon, provided you are in India. The upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro will come with a charger in the box, unlike its predecessor, CMF Phone 1. Yes, it is a change many users were hoping for.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is set to hit the stores globally on April 28, and it’s getting attention, and the charger news is just adding to the buzz. The news was confirmed by Akis Evangelidis, co-founder of Nothing and President of Nothing’s India division. He replied to a fan’s post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “We heard you, my man – giving it a go with CMF Phone 2 Pro in India.” Along with that, he tweeted an image of a slot in the box for a charging brick.
This is a direct reaction to customer feedback. When the CMF Phone 1 was launched, people were disappointed that the device didn’t include a power adapter, considering that it supported 33W fast charging. You could only purchase Nothing’s chargers separately, ranging from 33W to 100W GaN models.
However, it’s worth noting that the charger-in-the-box part of the move might be limited to the Indian market. Global versions of the CMF Phone 2 Pro may still arrive without it, as was the case with the first one. For other countries, the company hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
The company also plans to launch three new audio products alongside the new phone — CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a and Buds 2 plus – on the same day. These could add more value for the fans of the brand.
So yes, a small win for Indian smartphone users. Hopefully, this will also be a trend that many other brands follow.
