Cynthia Bailey Breaks Silence on Fallout With Kenya Moore!
Cynthia Bailey is speaking out after finding herself caught in the crossfire of Kenya Moore’s explosive feud with Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer Brittany “Brit” Eady—one that ultimately led to Kenya’s removal from the show.
Appearing on Carlos King’s Reality with the King podcast, Cynthia addressed Kenya’s recent behavior, particularly at the Kenya Moore Hair Spa grand opening where Kenya publicly displayed sexually explicit images of Brittany in front of guests. Although Cynthia was the only cast member who confronted Kenya about the disturbing moment, she later found herself the target of Kenya’s online shade.
“Kenya did retweet a moment NeNe Leakes talked about you going where the wind blows when it comes to friendships, and like being everybody’s friend, not standing for your true friend,” Carlos pointed out during the podcast.
Cynthia responded, “I am the only one who said anything to her in that moment. But all the ladies walked out, and she doesn’t seem to have an issue with them now.”
“If Kenya and I were the best of friends, let me be very clear when I say this, I would have still had the same reaction,” she continued. “I literally caught a stray… Why isn’t anybody else in the hot seat? Like, why isn’t she mad at anybody else?”
Cynthia also revealed that she and Kenya previously didn’t speak for two years following a falling out during Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, highlighting their history of ups and downs. Still, Cynthia felt her actions came from a place of genuine concern.
Her comments come in the wake of Kenya’s headline-making meltdown at her spa opening, where she ignored Brittany’s attempt to apologize and instead launched into a full takedown. As guests looked on, Kenya unveiled poster-sized images of Brit—some calling her a “trap ho” and “video ho,” and one so graphic Bravo chose not to air it.
Kenya’s justification? She claimed Brittany’s previous comment about having a pistol made her feel unsafe. But the cast—and fans—widely criticized her for going too far. Bravo later confirmed Kenya’s departure with an on-screen message:
“Based on Kenya’s behavior, the decision was made to cease filming with her this season.”
The fallout has sparked debate over whether Kenya’s actions were warranted or wildly out of line—but for Cynthia, one thing is clear: being honest in the moment shouldn’t cost you a friendship.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
