Jojo Siwa confirms she is in a romantic relationship with Chris Hughes after Celebrity Big Brother UK

It’s official, Jojo Siwa and Chris Hughes are together.

After much speculation over the status of the pair’s relationship, Siwa has finally confirmed that she and Hughes are in a romantic relationship.

The pair met during their time on Celebrity Big Brother UK and their strong connection raised eyebrows from fans given that Siwa had a partner, Australian internet star kath Ebbs, watching on from home.

When the show wrapped, Siwa broke up with Ebbs causing speculation that there was a relationship with Hughes blossoming.

Despite the rumour mill, Siwa and Hughes maintained that their relationship was platonic as they did interviews with the press – until now.

Siwa has again opened up about their connection in conversation with The Guardian and confirmed they are together.

“It’s not platonic anymore and its been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection,” she said.

“I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.”

And for those who assume their relationship is a “PR stunt”, Siwa says that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“Clearly, you’ve never been around us. I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now,” she said.

“Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.”

Siwa understands why so many people are invested in the status of their relationship and doesn’t seem too fazed.

“People can see our chemistry and they got to see it develop,” she said.

“I think everyone’s just curious, and I can’t blame them.”

Siwa’s relationship update comes after weeks of curiosity from fans and tabloids over the status of their relationship.

In their first joint interview after leaving the reality TV show, the pair insisted that their relationship was a “platonic soulmate” connection nothing more.

However, the curiosity from fans continued and Instagram posts of the pair holidaying together only fanned the flames.

Holidays together and cosy snaps in bed had fans – and Siwa’s ex Ebbs – convinced there was something going on, which has now been confirmed.

Just weeks ago, Siwa’s ex partner Ebbs, who identifies as non-binary, revealed how “devastated” they felt when watching Siwa, 21, grow closer with him on TV and the gut-wrenching moment their relationship came to an end.
