eFootball Update 4.4.0 Adds Cross-Play, Gameplay Improvements

The new eFootball update version 4.4.0 is available today adding cross-play between PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The update also brings a number of gameplay tweaks, with a clear focus on making passing abilities matter more. Players will notice changes to how passes travel through the air and how fast they get from point A to point B.

Players with higher pass ratings will now get the ball out quicker, making their passes feel more accurate and effective. That means teammates on the receiving end will have a little extra time to settle the ball and make their next move. On the flip side, guys with lower passing stats will send flatter, slower passes that can leave teammates under pressure as soon as they touch the ball. 

With the changes to passing abilities and ball trajectory, the AI has been tuned to better handle both attacking and defending situations. Players now move more intelligently to create and receive passes, opening up new ways to score. Defenders also apply pressure more realistically, making it less frustrating to connect passes.

A new VS AI mode has been added to eFootball League, designed for players who prefer going up against the CPU instead of real opponents. The AI gets stronger as you climb the divisions, giving you a steady challenge as your skills improve. Early on, it’s tuned for newcomers, so it’s easy to jump in and start having fun. The teams you’ll face are built by other users in the same mode, and your own developed squad might be out there competing in someone else’s match too.

The team also added a few other improvements, including an antenna icon to show connection quality in some modes and a clearer offside line during replays. Substitutes get automatic In-Match Roles and the new Advanced Skill Training makes it easier to pick up the skills you want and delete learned skills if needed.
