Geri Horner suggests ‘there will’ be a Spice Girls reunion

Geri Horner has suggested that “there will” be a potential Spice Girls reunion, and we need to dig out our miniskirts and platform knee-high boots immediately.

Stop right now, thank you very much, because Horner has given us the latest hints at a Spice Girls reunion. Unbelievably, it’s been 13 years since all five members of the girlband hit the stage simultaneously at the closing ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics.

Horner, known fondly by fans as Ginger Spice, was recently interviewed by The Sunday Times. She spoke on her “hope” for a long-overdue homecoming for the iconic girl group, which would be in time for the 30th anniversary of their trademark hit “Wannabe” next year.

“There will be something!” she confirmed to the outlet. “My hope is we come back together as a collective,” she said. “It’s more respectful to come as one. We’ll come as one.”

Horner also reflected on the “care” she has for her former bandmates, revealing that they all keep in touch via a full-band group chat. “We love each other. I care about them, and we want the best for each other.

“We shared something so monumental. We’ve always believed in each other, had trust in each other, which is beautiful,” she added.

The group members last headed on a Spice World UK and Ireland tour in 2019, but Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) was absent. However, Horner did not address whether Beckham would be attending the potential reunion.

Back in 2023, LGBTQ+ ally Mel B claimed that the quintet would be regrouping for a project. She told The Sun at the time, “My theory is that if I say it enough, it will happen. But actually, we are planning on releasing a statement.”

“What that is, I can’t say right now because we’re just finishing off perfecting what we’re going to be doing together, all five of us,” she said at the time. “But it’s going to be something that the fans are really going to love.”
