Etheria: Restart, the upcoming hero RPG and ‘live arena experience’, is set to host a pre-launch livestream before its final beta. The livestream will be available to watch on April 25th, with the final beta arriving May 8th, giving players their last chance to get a look at it pre-launch.

Set in the distant future, Etheria sees humanity having transferred their consciousness into a virtual world called Etheria. Within it, humans have to coexist with virtual beings known as Animus. But when the Genesis Virus corrupts these beings, it’s up to the newly-formed Hyperlinker Union to combat the threat.

Etheria’s main selling point is the interplay of the different Animus abilities wielded by the heroes you recruit. It promises to let you build a distinctive team where these abilities synergise. Not only that, but it’ll offer a story-based main questline, PvE battles and a PvP arena to test your abilities against other players.

Reset, restart, retry

With mobile RPGs, I think it’s fair to say that there’s little room for outright experimentation, with releases like Etheria instead focusing on new ways to upgrade and synergise heroes. And the final beta will let you get your hands on some of these systems, such as Anisync Echoes, Phantom Theater trial challenges and the introduction of real-time PvP battles that claim inspiration from long-time favourites such as Summoners War and Epic Seven.
