The sequel to the 2018 twisted comedy-thriller, A Simple Favour, the film continues the story of single mother and vlogger Stephanie Smith (Kendrick) and wealthy socialite Emily Nelson (Lively). This time, they’re headed to the island of Capri where Emily is getting married to a rich Italian man, and well, chaos ensues.
The new trailer shows Stephanie reading an excerpt from her book to an audience when Emily bursts in.
“I’m getting married! Will you be my maid of honour? Did I mention it’s in Capri?”

According to the official logline from Prime Video, “Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”
You might remember in the original film, Stephanie and Emily connect through their kids and become friends. When Emily suddenly disappears, Stephanie makes it her business to find her, uncovering some dark secrets along the way.

Who is cast in the film?
In addition to stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, original cast members Henry Golding, Andrew Rennells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine and Ian Ho are also returning.
They join new cast members Michele Morrone, Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell and Allison Janney.
