- Hearthstone’s Battlegrounds Season 10 goes live on April 29th
- The new mini set Embers of the World is also available on May 13th!
- Both offer new minions, new types of cards and other additions to mix up your matches
If you’re a devoted follower of Hearthstone, Blizzard’s hit World of Warcraft-themed card battler, then you’ll be excited to learn that not only is Battlegrounds Season 10: Second Nature set to go live on April 29th, but the new Embers of the World Tree mini set is also releasing on May 13th.
The theme of Embers of the World Tree sees the Druids of the Flame attacking this ancient monument. And both they and the Dream Defenders opposing them get new Imbue and Dark Gifts, with the Druids wielding Fire Magic to light your opponents up!
The headlining additions to the mini set are of Smouldering Cards. These new additions to the Hearthstone lineup get stronger the longer they remain in your hand, but don’t hold onto them too long because if you do, they’ll flame out and disappear. You’ll need to plan out each of your turns carefully to maximise their value.

But, mini set aside, what’s coming in the aforementioned Battleground Season 10: Second Nature? Well, to start, Trinkets are making a return with these passive powerups offered on Turn 6 and Turn 9 for lesser and greater trinkets, respectively. You’ll also be able to harness the power of the wilds with two new heroes in the form of Cenarius and Buttons.
There are also major additions to the minion pool with over 75 new and returning characters and Tavern spells. Naturally, the Season 10 Battlegrounds Track also includes plenty of new themed cosmetics to boot for the completionists out there!
