This has struck fear in players awaiting the arrival of Grand Theft Auto 6, as it is the only other game more hyped up than Team Cherry’s latest release.
Is Hollow Knight: Silksong just a preview of what is to come with the GTA 6 launch?
The X account GTA 6 Countdown poses a scenario in which GTA 6 would crash all the digital storefronts, including the PS Store, when it launches next year. Rockstar’s next entry in its beloved open-world game will probably be as popular as Hollow Knight: Silksong, so it would not be surprising if issues present themselves to a platform’s storefront. However, some players do bring up solid points.
First, Hollow Knight: Silksong was not available to preorder or pre-install. A game as big as GTA 6 will probably be available to preorder on the PS Store. As of now, it is not, so that would help prevent any server issues the PS Store may have on launch day as people will probably pre-install. Additionally, it will only be available on console, so it won’t be quite as widespread as Hollow Knight: Silksong’s launch.
Back in May, Rockstar revealed a ton of details about GTA 6, along with a new trailer giving players a taste of what to expect from the game’s story. With the recent video game price hikes, some players are also convinced the game will cost over $80, some even suggesting it could hit a base price of $100.
