Emirt Rivera Barrera Killed in Rollover Accident on Highway 70 [Yuba County, CA]

14-Year-Old Passenger Pronounced Dead after Rollover Crash near Feather River Boulevard

YUBA COUNTY, CA (April 2, 2025) – Saturday afternoon, Emirt Rivera Barrera was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 70.

Investigators say the driver of a silver or white SUV made an unsafe lane maneuver. As a result, a nearby Honda Pilot SUV lost control and overturned before traveling down a 50 foot dirt embankment.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 14-year-old Barrera, of Olivehurst dead at the scene. In addition, a 53-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy complained of pain.
