Downtown NYC queer legend Cazwell has dropped his new single “LET’s GO!” with 808 BEACH (John “J-C” Carr and Bill Coleman). The high-voltage anthem serves as a final taste of Cazwell’s upcoming career-spanning double LP, “HITS ALL OVER YOUR FACE” (The Peace Bisquit Collection), which arrives September 12.
The expansive collection brings together remastered hits, new favorites, and deep cuts from Cazwell’s provocative and influential tenure with Brooklyn indie powerhouse Peace Bisquit. Spanning the years 2006 to 2018, the album not only highlights Cazwell’s enduring impact as a queer hip hop icon, but also coincides with Peace Bisquit’s 35th anniversary.
“‘LET’s GO!’ is a reverent nod to the past, designed for the DJs and meant to be played loud,” Coleman said.
Originally penned on his Blackberry in 2011, “LET’s GO!” channels the spirit of a transformative era in New York City nightlife, fueled by optimism, progress, and unapologetic fun.
“[It’s] that no-brainer party anthem about the excitement that comes with knowing you’re going dancing tonight,” Cazwell said.
Alongside “LET’s GO!,” Cazwell has re-released his notorious 2006 breakout single “All Over Your Face.” The track, a disco-funk romp laced with provocative wit, cemented his reputation as a fearless and boundary-pushing M.C. and remains a touchstone of NYC queer nightlife culture.
“HITS ALL OVER YOUR FACE” also revisits fan-favorite moments including “Ice Cream Truck,” “Rice & Beans,” “No Selfie Control,” and his explosive 2011 team-up with Canadian icon Peaches, “Unzip Me.” The compilation underscores Cazwell’s ability to merge hip-hop, house, EDM, and disco into an eclectic, unfiltered celebration of queer identity.
From underground clubs to viral videos, Cazwell has never been afraid to push the culture forward with attitude, humor, and undeniable hooks. With “HITS ALL OVER YOUR FACE,” he honors his history while reminding fans why he remains a singular force in music and nightlife.

Musician, producer, and storyteller Jairic dropped his bold new single, “Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You,” via Rich Air Music. The release follows a run of standout performances, including exclusive sets at Château Les Alouettes in Cannes and Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, plus a live appearance at the Paris premiere of the short film “Azur.”
With nearly two million streams to his name, Jairic continues to carve out his own lane at the intersection of music, film, and fashion.
Currently based in Cannes, France but raised in Detroit, Jairic’s roots run deep. Shaped by a musical family and early work producing hip-hop for local Detroit artists, he has since developed a fiercely independent sound that blends cinematic flair with underground grit. Drawing inspiration from Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Detroit’s raw underground scene, classic funk, 60s rock, and film scores, his work is as genre-defiant as it is lyrically sharp.
“Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You” captures that restless energy in full force. The single is a defiant statement piece, brimming with fearless lyricism, staggering sound design, and raw passion.
“This one was written in the south of France,” Jairic said. “Underneath the whole thing there’s this Caribbean pulse as well — smooth, hypnotic, at times chaotic — but the lyrics carry a different weight: don’t run up on me. It’s got that contrast I love — sunlit on the surface, with a sharp edge underneath.”
With its mix of cinematic edge, hip-hop swagger, and uncompromising energy, “Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You” positions Jairic as a compelling new voice to emerge from the underground.

Grenoble-based producer Thaylo returned with a breathtaking new EP, “Drown In Your Eyes,” via PLAYY. Records. The five-track collection, led by the poignant focus single “Last Forever,” captures the French artist’s trademark blend of piano-driven melodies and infectious rhythms, expanding on the sound that has already earned him millions of Spotify streams and support from heavyweights like Martin Garrix, Nora En Pure, and Solomun.
With a string of breakout singles — “Let Me Be” and “Save Your Tears” among them — Thaylo has become a fast-rising name in progressive and melodic house, praised by tastemakers such as “When We Dip” and “House Music With Love.”
For Thaylo, whose passion for electronic music was sparked by Tomorrowland aftermovies, the release is both deeply personal and artistically defining.
“For a while now, I’ve been exploring the use of my voice in my tracks,” Thaylo said. “This EP marks the first time I’ll release a complete project featuring my own vocals. I discovered that when I sing on my own music, something special happens — a unique and more authentic mood emerges. […] To me, this EP embodies the perfect balance between sadness and hope. I’ve always believed that, as humans, we constantly navigate these two emotions. Capturing this interplay and expressing it through my music felt deeply important to share.”
With “Drown In Your Eyes,” Thaylo cements himself as one of electronic music’s most compelling emerging voices, bridging cinematic intimacy with dance floor intensity.

New York-based electronic producer ASTOR is back with his latest single, “Stars,” via ASTOR Records. Known for marrying festival-ready energy with heartfelt, melodic songwriting, ASTOR has quickly established himself as one of EDM’s rising names.
Following recent successes like “Holding Tight” — his debut release with Hardwell’s Revealed Radar — “Stars” finds ASTOR leaning into more vulnerable, emotionally charged territory. The track brims with soaring synths, intricate layering, and a magnetic vocal performance that speaks to taking a leap of faith with someone special.
“’Stars’ brought me back to the sound that first made me fall in love with dance music — soaring, euphoric builds balanced with raw, emotional breaks that let the crowd lose themselves in the moment,” ASTOR said. “That kind of roller coaster ride is something I love to create in not only my individual tracks but also my sets.”
What makes ASTOR’s trajectory compelling is his unconventional path: a finance professional and political analyst by day, he first turned to music during the pandemic as a way to break from rigid structure into creative exploration. His sound, influenced by Martin Garrix, Alesso, DubVision, and Avicii, blends Progressive House’s emotive core with the explosive dynamics of Big Room and Electro House.
With “Stars,” ASTOR proves once again that his music is built for both the heart and the mainstage. Fans of Martin Garrix, Lost Frequencies, and Avicii will find plenty to love in this euphoric and emotionally resonant release.

Charlottetown rock trio Absolute Losers return this week with “Eagerness,” a swagger-filled new single out now via Having Fun Records. Recorded live in the studio, the track strips things down to the essentials — big cowboy chords, dizzying three-part harmonies, and the kind of raw, playful energy that has quickly made it a fan favorite at shows.
Frontman Josh Langille explains that the lyrics are rooted in childhood nostalgia — sunlight through trees, mischief with friends, and memories of Stratford’s Cotton Park.
“It’s one of those songs that just fell from the sky,” Langille said. “It feels like those are usually the best anyway. The basic chords and melody of ‘Eagerness’ felt so solid, it just made sense to let the song speak for itself.”
The single offers another preview of the band’s sophomore album “In The Crowd,” due September 26 and produced by Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck) with mastering from Mikey Young (The Chats, King Gizzard, Amyl & The Sniffers). Unlike their award-winning 2023 debut “At The Mall,” the new record sees the trio fully immersed in long studio sessions, pushing their “butt-ish caveman rock” sound into bolder, more expansive territory.
Absolute Losers play a UK headline date at London’s Strongroom Bar on September 16 before heading to Hamburg for Reeperbahn Festival, with Canadian shows and more international dates to follow.

Boston’s ska and soul collective Westbound Train are back with their first new album in years. “Sing the Ghost Away” arrives November 7, marking the band’s most dynamic and resonant work to date — a bold evolution that reaffirms their place as torchbearers of modern ska, rocksteady, and classic soul. To kick it off, they have released the lead single “L.M.A.”
Produced by frontman Obi Fernandez (vocals, trombone) and drummer Eric Novod, and mixed/mastered by Tim Panella, the album was recorded at The Relic Room in New York City. Its warm analog textures and inventive arrangements balance timeless tradition with refreshing new ideas.
“Sing the Ghost Away has hands down been my favorite record to put together in the history of this band,” Fernandez said. “From picking the songs, to dreaming up the artwork, to bringing in friends we love and respect — it all came together to create something that feels true to us.
“L.M.A.” sets the tone with a soaring message of self-worth, while tracks like “Keeper From the Start” and “Slippery Slope” showcase the band’s sharpened songwriting and expanded sonic range. A newly recorded version of “We All Need Rescue” revisits a fan favorite from their 2022 release with renewed energy. Additional contributions from Anthony Abbinanti (percussion), horn players Jon Degen and Luke Panella, and arranger Mike Sarason enrich the band’s signature sound.
With “Sing the Ghost Away,” Westbound Train stands tall in tradition while writing the next chapter of their story — proof that ska and soul remain as vital, urgent, and uplifting as ever.

Cult 80s psych-punks Your Heterosexual Violence are back with their biting new single “Love Will.” The track arrives ahead of their upcoming album “Some People Have Too Much To Say,” due September 26 via Trapped Animal’s new sublabel, Unfriendly Dog Records.
Recorded at Press Play Studios in South London with Andy Ramsay of Stereolab behind the boards, the record stitches together lo-fi psych, punk sneer, mutant disco, and post-punk grit. It will be available on all formats, including a limited turquoise vinyl pressing.
“Love Will” finds the band poking fun at the syrupy optimism of love-conquers-all songwriting.
Frontman Brian O’Brien says the tongue-in-cheek lyrics — ranging from “Love will stop the rain” to “Love will end all wars” — are equal parts satire and celebration.
“It had to be a bit uplifting and full of energy rather than the dreary false emotion crap that one usually associates with songs of this nature,” O’Brien said.
The band will launch the album October 5th at The Lexington in London, with select UK dates to follow.
