INTERVIEW: Faith Nibbe Talks Hollywood Acting and Her New Sitcom Pilot

Rising star Faith Nibbe started her career in the entertainment industry at just the age of 4. In a few short years, she’s made a name for herself, starring in a number of productions including TV series and movies. From acting on stage to performing in regional theater at 11, she’s now working on leading productions for Hollywood Studios.

Having recently starred in the lead for upcoming critically acclaimed Sitcom pilot “Truth Saves The World,” Faith is following her passions. Other recent work includes Lessons in Chemistry, NBC Peacock’s Spine-Chilling Stories and Sing 2. She is also working with her mom, Shyla Nibbe and her 4 other siblings, who are all in the entertainment business.

Discover in our exclusive interview her thoughts and aspirations on acting in the entertainment industry, and her next projects.

When did you first decide to follow a career in entertainment?

I have been performing since I was 4 years old – dancing, singing and acting on stage. But the decision to pursue a professional career came when I was 11 and started doing regional theater across southern California. I absolutely fell in love with performing on stage. That led to the visibility I needed to make the transition to TV and film work, both on-camera and singing on soundtracks.

You recently starred in a sitcom pilot called “Truth Saves The World.” What was the experience like working on the production?

Filming Truth Saves the World was an absolute blast! This is the first time I’m playing a character like Truth and I’m so blessed for the opportunity. Truth’s story is based on real-life events of the writers, and I think this is so important to convey in children’s television. The cast I got to work with is extremely talented and I am so proud of all of them. I can’t wait to see Truth’s next steps.

Who do you look up to for inspiration?

I am inspired by so many impactful people in the entertainment industry – Debbie Allen, Zendaya and Cynthia Erivo come to mind. These people made me think of acting differently. Any time any of these actors perform in a movie, they truly become the characters they are portraying and make every action clear. They have incredible range. They really inspire my acting style and how I approach a character now.

What are your favorite shows and movies?

I love great stories with fabulous visual effects and cinematography and of course wonderful music. I’m a big fan of the MCU. As a theater kid I love musical movies like Wicked and The Greatest Showman. For TV shows, I love a good police drama like The Rookie.

Can you share with us any of your recent projects?

Besides Truth Saves the World, I am voicing a new animated series with True Wonder Entertainment. I’ve also had the opportunity to sing on a couple of soundtracks for projects that are not yet released.

If you had the chance to work with anyone in the entertainment business (apart from your mom!), who would it be?

It’s hard to beat my mom! She is absolutely amazing! If I got the chance to work with anyone else in the business, I would love to work with iconic film directors that really shaped the art form and its messaging, like Spike Lee and Steven Spielberg.

If they could make a sequel to any movie you saw recently, what would you want to see?

I would love to see a sequel to Barbie!

Could you share with us your goals for the future? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I want to continue in entertainment with a focus on tv and film projects, while I pursue my education in molecular biology. These are really my two passions and I hope to be able to do both for a long time.
