In the world of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, drama is expected—but sometimes, the hits come from unexpected places. Kyle Richards, one of the franchise’s longest-standing stars, is now pushing back after being accused of dishonesty by newcomer Bozoma “Boz” Saint John. And that’s just the start of what she’s opening up about.
“Of all the things … I mean, literally have never been called that,” Kyle told Extra TV “I never lied.” The comment came in response to Boz labeling her a “liar” over a text message situation involving Paul “PK” Kemsley amid his split from Dorit Kemsley.
While fans are still digesting that drama, Kyle Richards also feeling the pressure from another source—Andy Cohen. Reflecting on the RHOBH reunion taping, she admitted, “I just want a break,” after Andy pushed her about her steamy music video with country artist Morgan Wade, who’s long been rumored to be more than a friend.
Kyle added, “We have two more episodes, one more reunion tomorrow, and then another one next week, and then, you know, two more reunion episodes.” Exhausting? Absolutely.
On a more serious note, Kyle Richards also shared an update on close friend and former castmate Teddi Mellencamp, who is currently battling brain cancer. “She has some rough days right now going through radiation and the immunotherapy,” Kyle said. “[But] she is a really strong girl, and I do believe she’s going to come out the other side of this, so lots of prayers and positive vibes for her.”
“She does [keep her sense of humor]. She’s very positive … She likes to poke fun of the situation, because that’s the only way to get through something like this.”
After nearly 15 years on the show, Kyle’s weariness with the never-ending cycle of drama is beginning to show. “It’s like the mafia… It’s hard to get out. I hate drama, and I hate confrontation. How did I end up here?” she said, adding, “I am still standing, almost 15 years, so. It’s a dance we do.”
Looking ahead, Kyle is focusing on her future outside of reality TV. “Eventually, I will be just acting and producing,” she confirmed, also mentioning her upcoming role on Wild Cards.
And while balancing RHOBH, filming, and family life, Kyle’s also celebrating nearly three years of sobriety. “Almost three years,” she proudly noted.
She even gave a quick update on her youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, who’s starting the college tour circuit. “This weekend I took my youngest, Portia, to Texas to look at colleges, which is so crazy. I went to Austin, we went to Dallas, we went to Fort Worth … TCU, and then Mau took her to Miami, so we’re doing the rounds right now,” Kyle said. “TCU she liked a lot, and also SMU.”
As season 14 of RHOBH comes to a close, Kyle Richards is juggling family, friendship, feuds, and the fatigue that comes from living a life under the Bravo microscope—but if there’s one thing she’s made clear, it’s that she’s not going down without speaking her truth.
