Canadian comedy series North of North is an absolute delight. With a lovable protagonist, great cast, and excellent writing, it will quickly carve a permanent spot in your heart.
Critics agree, as the show currently has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The only bad thing we have to say about the series is that it’s too short. At only eight episodes, it makes for a fun but quick binge. There’s no wonder viewers are hungry for more. Hopefully, we’re going to get it.
North of North Season 2 Release Date
North of North premiered on Netflix on April 10 and is currently building momentum, with more viewers discovering its charm. At the time of writing, the series hasn’t been picked up for additional episodes.
That said, things look pretty good. The positive reviews don’t hurt, and neither does the fact that the comedy made it to the Netflix global Top 10.
Additionally, creator Aglok MacDonald teased in an interview that a story about a modern Inuk woman has plenty of potential: “We have a story for everything, we can tell seasons with a story like this.”
In case North of North season 2 happens, we expect it to arrive sometime in 2026.

What Will Happen in North of North Season 2?
North of North revolves around Siaja, an Inuk woman who decides she wants more from life after unexpectedly leaving her marriage.
However, she lives in a small Arctic community, where everybody knows everyone else’s business. Forging a new path might prove tricky under such scrutiny.
The series is funny and heartwarming, as well as rich in colourful characters and storylines you get invested in. Plus, it’s always satisfying to see a woman blossom into her true self.
Over the course of the first eight episodes, Siaja goes on quite a journey. She has to juggle her work with her mum duties, as well as cope with her long-lost father making a reappearance. Romantically, she connects with Kuuk, who seems like a good match. Too bad he has a girlfriend.
North of North season 2 will likely continue to explore all these captivating dynamics. There’s also Siaja’s mother, Neevee, who revealed a devastating secret about the family. If she could get some happiness, that would be great.
