Max DiSesa, Managing Partner of Seven Bridges Wealth Advisors in Westchester NY, has always thought long-term in both finance and life. His work builds financial plans for clients for their futures into their 90s and beyond, but he often wonders: what if we lived to 125, or even 150? That question has guided his own health journey, built around longevity, incremental improvement, and a passion for living with purpose.
The Turning Point
Max’s journey began in college after reading The China Study, which sparked a curiosity about how diet influences aging and health. “It just got me started to think about it,” he said. “Maybe there might be some problems with animal protein, maybe not, but it just got me thinking.”
Over the next decade, he gradually layered in new habits, always striving for “1%
improvements” that would compound over time. “There’s so much that I could be doing better,” Max admitted, “but I try to adopt things slowly and see if it worked for me because it’s overwhelming.”
His mindset shifted again five years ago, when he began training to climb Mount Everest. Tackling progressively more difficult mountains — including Mount Kilimanjaro — gave him clarity on what longevity really means: “This is very overwhelming. How do I approach this step by step?”
The NOVOS Connection
Max discovered NOVOS while reading a detailed breakdown of David Sinclair’s supplement stack — and was immediately impressed by the scientific rigor. “The more I looked at NOVOS, the more I was impressed with the research and thought,” he said. “Everything is super well researched”
He’s now deeply committed to the full NOVOS stack: Core, Boost, Vital, and Age. His most recent NOVOS Age test showed a Pace of Aging of 0.71.
Max doesn’t just take the supplements; he builds his day around them. “I like the flavored one.
And I’ll have one to two a day, and it’s just the highlight of my day.”
That commitment goes wherever he does, even to extreme altitudes. “I brought [NOVOS Core] up with me on Mount Everest and drank it in my little backpack. I had like a two- or three-liter Camelback. Everybody would look at what I’m doing… and I’m just a NOVOS believer.”
For Max, NOVOS is more than a routine; it’s a tool that gives structure and energy to his day, even in the most demanding environments. “It helped me drink more water,” he noted, especially during his Everest climb.
Max’s Longevity Routine
Max’s routine is a mix of modern science, personal experimentation, and practical consistency:
- Supplements: NOVOS Core (flavored), Boost, Vital, vitamin D, and vitamin B12
- Sleep: He aims for 6–8 hours per night, recognizing it’s a key area for improvement. “I just always feel like I could do better,” he said.
- Hydration: “I just got incrementally bigger and bigger with these water bottles… This is 96 ounces.” He focuses heavily on hydration, especially from his mountaineering experience, where it’s critical to drink a lot of water.
- Diet: He follows a mostly Mediterranean diet centered on fish, vegetables, olive oil, and whole foods, and avoids empty carbs. “I try to stay away from things that are just empty.” Even on weekends, he sticks to meal prepping to keep his diet clean.
- Fitness: A blend of heavy lifting (3 days/week), HIIT, sprinting, and long cardio sessions like running and cycling. He also does red light therapy five times a week — “not only on my face, but my head as well, for hair loss.”
- Longevity Tools: Cold plunges and saunas 4–5 times a week, quarterly ProLon fasts, blood donations every quarter (to reduce microplastics and help others), and daily breathing or meditation sessions (Wim Hof or TM). Retinol/tretinoin 2-3x a week has been miraculous.
- Social Connection: “I try to be good about staying in touch with friends too… It’s been really helpful.”
- Wearables: He uses the Oura Ring, Whoop 5.0, and Garmin to track sleep, heart rate zones, VO2 max, and more. “Those are things that help me stay on track.”
Benefits He’s Noticed
Max credits the combination of his regimen — especially NOVOS — with noticeable improvements:
- Better skin
- More energy during workouts
- Improved sleep
- Elevated mood
He’s also picked up tips from NOVOS content, such as adding blueberries for extra antioxidants. “All these other incremental changes that I’ve made from reading articles… I’ve noticed my skin has gotten better. I’ve got better energy. I can actually go longer when I’m working out. My sleep has improved. And again, my general mood has increased as well.”
“It’s just the highlight of my day… drinking [NOVOS Core]. I’ve noticed so many great benefits.”
Why Longevity Matters to Max
At its core, Max’s longevity pursuit is about more than himself.
“I want to be in a position to observe how humanity does… I’d love to be around to contribute meaningfully to our future. And if nothing else, I will try to increase my lifespan from 100 to 120. That would be a big win.”
He’s also drawn to the broader implications of longevity, from ecological policy to health equity. “If we can look at things in a longer timeframe, I think that fundamentally changes how we live. People could have second or third careers or contribute materially more to their current fields. We could make longer term investments in our infrastructure. But it could also increase inequality and poses serious questions to our sustainability with our environment. It just rapidly changes how we look at life. It’s a paradigm shift.”
As a financial advisor, Max encourages his clients to think long-term too, not just financially, but biologically. He wants them to have the opportunity to enjoy more years with their families and create a lasting impact.
“I think if you just maximize your healthspan, which increases your quality of life, then it maximizes the chance to dramatically extend your lifespan.”
And with NOVOS by his side, sometimes even in a Camelbak, Max is betting on a future that’s longer, healthier, and more meaningful.
