Tigers chief executive officer Shane Richardson has confirmed there’s an “enormous amount of antagonism” between his coach Benji Marshall and player agent Isaac Moses amid the current fallout of Lachlan Galvin’s situation.
The rivalry between Marshall and Moses has been one of the major storylines behind Galvin’s intent to leave the Tigers.
Moses has had a number of players leave the club under Marshall’s watch, with John Bateman and David Klemmer departing recently and now Galvin knocking back a lucrative contract extension.

The drama around Galvin has been described as “Benji vs Moses” and Richardson gave an insight into the animosity between the two.

“There’s no doubt there’s an enormous amount of antagonism between Isaac and Benji,” he said on The Bye Round podcast.
“I’ve known about it, so it’s not something unusual but I don’t want to comment, that’s between them.
“My job is to be in the middle there and deal with both of them and I’ve dealt with Moses before, on many occasions. So at the end of the day, I can deal with Moses on a business basis and Benji and Moses don’t deal with each other.”

Galvin, who is contracted until the end of 2026, could be the next Moses player to leave the club. The focus has also turned to superstar fullback Jahream Bula, who is managed by Moses too.
Richardson said he doesn’t expect Bula to leave.
“I don’t have any fear about that all. It’s a different situation, different player. Once again we all want to jump at this because it’s a great story,” he said.
The speculation has also brought back into conversation the November 1 deadline.
With players constantly signing with other clubs early in the season before they leave, frustration has continued about no transfer windows.
Richardson described it as “an absolute disgrace”.
“I’ve been saying it for years and years, it’s an absolute joke we don’t have a transfer window,” he said.
“We would solve most of these problems by having a transfer window and honestly I don’t understand at all. Transfer windows are in football throughout the world, the NFL, the AFL, everywhere else but we don’t have it here. It’s ridiculous we don’t have it.
“At the end of the day player managers don’t mind moving players in the middle of the year, they don’t worry about the transfer costs and uprooting kids from school … when we actually have a proper transfer window, we won’t stop things in the background, but it’ll be a period we know it’s going to happen.”
