Stampeders pick Utah WR Damien Alford first overall in CFL Draft

The Calgary Stampeders are giving new quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. a big target for the 2025 season.

The Stamps picked Utah wide receiver Damien Alford first overall in the CFL Draft on Tuesday.

The six-foot-six Alford, from Montreal, transferred to Utah last season after playing four years at Syracuse. He did not register any stats last season.

Alford has accepted an invitation to Kansas City Chiefs rookie mini-camp, per 3DownNation.
