
The report was made to Northumbria Police over concerns being expressed for a man near to Redheugh Bridge, over the River Tyne, at around 1.45am on Friday (April 4).
Emergency services attended within minutes, but the man in question was no longer in the area by the time police arrived on the scene.
Extensive enquiries have since been ongoing to locate him to ensure he is safe and well, including a review of CCTV footage available in the vicinity of the bridge.

(Image: Northumbria Police) He is described as a white male, of slim build, with brown hair, and was last seen wearing black joggers, a black jacket with a grey hood underneath, and grey and white trainers.

It is understood he was in the company of another man, who is described as a white male, with dark hair, wearing a sweatshirt with ‘Mount Fuji’ lettering and an image featuring a sunset over the mountain.
The men, or anyone who knows them, are asked to contact Northumbria Police by sending a direct message on social media, or by using the live chat or report forms functions on the force website.
