Another pair of Umamusume: Pretty Derby banners is about to debut, with the Narita Brian playable character Trainee one and SSR Sakura Chiyono O Stamina Support Card both appearing on August 20, 2025. These will show up this evening around 3pm PT/6pm ET. Once done, both the racer and card will be added to the general pool.
While Narita Brian is capable of running Mile races, she’s designed to be a Medium or Long runner in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. She’s also best used with any style other than Front, with her Pace Chaser and Late Surger ratings at A, due to her Unique Skill Shadow Break. It will only kick in and increase her velocity if she is “passing another runner on the outside on the final corner or later.” The stats easiest to improve for her are Stamina and Speed, with the former having 20% and latter 10% increased rates. One of her best Potential Skills is In Body and Mind, but that’s a level five unlock.
As for the Sakura Chiyono O SSR Stamina Support Card, it is fine, but no Super Creek replacement. Its major Career Event skill is granting access to Speed Star. This can be handy for Pace Chaser characters to help them break into first.

As the Umamusume: Pretty Derby August 2025 schedule showed, the Narita Brian Trainee banner is the last “new” character one to appear this month. The one debuting next week on August 28, 2025 involves alternate versions of existing racers. Wedding versions of Air Groove and Mayano Top Gun will appear.
