Question
“Thank you, Dr. Rita. I have a few follow-up questions regarding the two-, to three-month carnivore diet you recommended to heal leaky gut. What is the percentage breakdown you recommend for the meat and low carbs? Are there any vegetables and fruits that are off-limits? During the two, or three months, are spices okay to use and herbal tea is fine to drink?” [0:03:58]
Answer
In general, when you say carnivore diet, that means there are no plant foods whatsoever. None. It’s only animal food. Of the animal foods, we like them to be rich in fat. So, we would like you to try and have a larger percentage of your calories coming from the fat, then the next largest group coming from the proteins, and then the smallest percentage coming from the carbohydrates. Typically, this runs something like 65 percent fat and 30 percent as protein, and maybe if there are any carbs at all, then you want to keep them on a carnivore diet down to zero or 5 percent or less, but the goal is only animal products. Now, if you have an herbal tea with some chamomile tea that you like to drink before bedtime, that’s not going to mess it up. The volume of ligands that are in all the various plant varieties and herbs is what we’re trying to get rid of to stop the gut from reacting to food ligands. These are normally protein particles that come from chewed-up and digested plants, as they’re broken down and they present themselves to the lining of your gut, which is only one cell membrane thick, it can trigger an irritant, much like that plant lectin would trigger an irritant in an insect walking on the plant or a fungus trying to grow on the plant, or a bacteria trying to grow on the plant. So, these lectins, plant phytates, these are different kinds of plant family protein structures that are very toxic and irritating.
So, if you went on a carnivore diet for a month or two or three, you’re taking time to just clear that all out of your body and then hen allows only the phospholipids and protein fats that are normally needed to re-heal the lining of the gut from your mouth all the way to your anus. And remember, we would encourage you to only eat in a time-restricted period for roughly six hours. So, if you’re 18 hours without food, and then you have a six-hour eating window, that’s plenty. The older you get, we ask you not to eat the dinners, or any really, anybody shouldn’t eat after 6 o’clock. But once you hit 60 years old, we’re asking you to back that up to even as early as 3:00 PM because digestion is hard work and it shuts off healing. So, if you eat later and later in the day, you’re not going to get the healing of somatostatin, growth hormone repair signals that you would normally get if your stomach was empty. As you get older, it won’t empty quickly. So hopefully that helps you.
And are there any vegetables and fruits? And we say, yes, on a carnivore diet, you don’t get any vegetables and fruits. During the two, or three months, are spices okay? I mean, if you’re going to use some, you know I have some garlic salt. I do use a garlic-flavored salt. That’s minuscule, I’m going to say compared to a whole piece of garlic in my body. But in general, we try and keep it to salt primarily. But pepper, if you’ve got to have it, but be careful because pepper is a plant and it does have strong lectin activities. So again, try and stay away from the plants at least for a month and give your body the experience of what it’s like to live lectin-free for a month and heal from your brain to your toe, from your mood to your sleep. All these things are well-studied and validated. And then, of course, I have all these years of clinical experience validating them.
Question
“Can you explain Zeta potential and its importance in good blood flow, particularly cerebral blood flow? Thank you.” [0:09:05]
Answer
Yeah. You know, we scientists, and the healthcare of arena, physics, everybody likes to give names to things, and this is really talking about the interface between two surfaces, like a water-loving surface and a water. So here’s your little bit of carbohydrates on the glycocalyx of a cell membrane lining. You know, the cell membrane is circular, and you have a blood vessel, and that is endothelial. These are the names we give to the cells that are very flat and they line the inside of the blood vessel. But those endothelia, they have out projections from the cell membrane and they’ll put a little carbohydrate moiety on it, kind of like putting eyeshadow on the eye of a pretty lady getting ready for going out. She’ll dazzle herself and her appearance with a little bit of makeup. It really doesn’t change anything about the character of her wonderful beauty, but if you put a little eyeshadow on it, it’s a little more attractive. So, the same is true for the surface and the water that it’s attracting, and those two membranes have to have a difference of electrical charge essentially, in that, that’s what attracts them. Kind of like a boy and a girl, they have to have different sexual attraction features for the standard heterosexual relationship, and that would then generate coming together hopefully in the domain of marriage and lawful, you know, the marriage bed is undefiled and then having a baby with the DNA mixture of the two, gametes, the DNA of the sperm and the egg.
So, there are many features as to why there has to be a difference of potential between these two surfaces to attract them. One of the features in the blood vessel is the negative lining of water, water molecules attracted to the cell surface here, and the water attracted to it is basically OH, a negative electric surface. And the particles of red blood cells flowing just right about of it, even at one red cell at a time like little soldiers in file through a very tiny capillary, have a positive charge. And so, there is an electrical charge difference that attracts each red blood cell to pass by through the capillary in the blood flow. So, we are electrical chemical beings. We are not just structural molecules and mass, and this is absolutely critical to understand. And that’s why, you know, I’m always asking my patients and my family to drink water, and then I’m using my water that has the Analemma wand in it that helps stimulate structured water to be generated. So, every time I drink water, it’s structured, so that my membranes will be more functionally powerful. So the rule is, that the larger the membrane gradient, the differential between the one surface charge and the other surface, and the greater that differential, the healthier the organism. The weaker it is, the more disorganized and it crumbles apart like decay. So yes, the Zeta potential is a name given for that, and drinking enough water, filtering your water, trying to make it structured water, either in a vortex or with the Analemma wand, and there are those who would just use, what are the woods…I can’t think of the name…Cedar. Even a piece of cedar wood really promotes structured water. Why? Because wood always has a cell structure that makes water attracted to it and draws it up, that’s why it goes up 300 feet into the big red trees. So hopefully that helps you understand a little bit about Zeta’s potential.
Question
“Hi, Dr. Rita. I took a blood test and was told I had a very high cortisol level. What is the impact of having high cortisol and what can I do to lower it? Thank you.” [0:14:16]
Answer
Usually high cortisol levels are associated with chronic stress, stress that doesn’t seem to rectify itself. This could be even an emotional situation, hatred, or a continued rehashing of things that make you angry over and over, your cortisol will go up. Cortisol is a steroid-type molecule. It is in the family of your other hormones – testosterone, estradiol, progesterone. These molecules, cortisol in particular, are involved with having an impact on our mood. So, if you have stress, your adrenals are going to perceive that, cortisol will go up. That stimulates the mobilization of extra sugars, and amino acids to get ready for breakdown and processing and the epinephrine helps mobilize stored glycogen, for stress is assuming you need to run or lift something or use your muscles and have motion and energy consumption. But if there’s no real muscle moving or regular weightlifting or exercise, then that cortisol is going to be associated with higher levels, just even from something as simple as the emotional stress of anger, and it’s going to break down your tissues. It’ll thin your skin. You’ll bruise more easily. You’ll retain fat around your tummy’s central portion and hips. These kind of things. So, that is the impact of having high cortisol.
And what can I do to lower it? I read my Bible every day to lower mine. I’m under untold levels of stress, being a doctor, being a wife, being a mother. In today’s news cycle, it’s very hard not to get emotionally caught up where you can’t think soberly and for the best needs of everyone around you, including yourself. So what I would say is I have found when I read my Bible every day, where in addition to that, I’ll put my earplug in and I’ll play teaching on the Bible on various books of the Bible or areas of interest in the Bible that I’m concerned about, and this helps remind me I’m not in charge. It is God who is in charge. It is He that I’m trying to please, not the world. And it teaches me to forgive lest I if I want my sins forgiven. It teaches me long-suffering, patience, forgiveness. And so, I just get reminded that every chapter I read of the Bible over and over again, year in, year out, this is what I do. This is my peace and comfort every day, and you have to find something that will help you with it rather than looking for a pill or a drug from a physician. I exercise. I also weigh and do walking. I got a little dog a year and a half ago as a rescue for Christmas because we lost our wonderful dog, Snoopy. I showed you the picture of Snoopy in the boat, and he passed almost two and a half years ago now. And the whole family was there, it was a family wonderful dog mixed pit bull and something else. Beautiful black and white markings, brown eyes. And so, the dog I got has to be walked. So, I walk the dog now twice a day, a mile or so, a little over a mile. So, I get in two and a half miles a day, along with my weightlifting three times a week with my wonderful husband.
And you know, I teach myself to think whatever’s lovely, whatever is beautiful, whatever is of good rapport, think on these things. I could talk about all my pains and, and sorrows, but it’s not going to do any good. What will make me good is if I think the best of every situation, and hope the best for every situation and every person in my life and with my patients. And that’s how I control my cortisol. Otherwise, I’d probably be – you know, one of the side effects of chronic stress is weight gain and excess. And so, I have always, since giving birth to my children, I have always had an extra 20, 30 pounds and it never seems to go no matter how good my lab is, no matter how many weightlifting, heavy things I can do, no ma matter how much aerobics, not even on a five-day fast. So there you go. It’s okay, and I am here to please God and not man. So that’s what I say. Praise the Lord. And that’s what I would do to try and lower it.
Question
“Would it be safe to take BIOptimizer magnesium powder drink at night, even though I take a statin 20 mg for high cholesterol at night? Also, I’ve been hearing about a protocol to detox from the COVID-19 spike protein. It is nattokinase, bromelain, and curcumin. Would you sell something like this in your store and do you think it is necessary?” [0:19:56]
Answer
Yes, I think they’re compatible. I don’t see any reason why you can’t take the two of them, but I certainly would second guess why you’re on a statin of 20 mg.
Well, I give the Lord all the praise that He led me many decades ago into teaching each of my patients to drink water to avoid inflammation and sticky clotty blood. The Lord led me many decades ago to be low carb, long before all these YouTube people, and I pass that on to my dear patients who have also lowered their carbs. I taught my patients to move, exercise, to try and keep their blood flowing, and with that exercise to burn up the sugars, starches, and carbs, so they don’t have high blood sugar stickiness and those inflaming producing medical problems, and that helped them all avoid COVID. I was led by the Lord to make sure all my patients had a very good level of vitamin D, not some wimpy, silly, mindless meeting of old men who know nothing about nutrition and could care less as they’re facing their own mortality and then give some silly number of 30 to 45, 50 range for the vitamin D level. And I always had my patients stay around the 80 to 120 range. Of course, we check it. I was so thankful that I always, I was always led and taught my patients, the Lord showed me how important enzymes are. Systemic enzymes are like the little Pacman that chew up debris cells that are too old, they can’t get repaired, so they’re chewed up by systemic enzymes, and this prevents blood clots and side effects of the post-COVID terror that we went through. I was led by the Lord also to make sure my patients were on a multimineral either in a multivitamin or a multimineral that is amino acid chelated that kept their zinc levels up and selenium anti-cancer levels. I was led by the Lord to measure and track their insulin levels very closely, along with their triglyceride levels, I would know if they’re really doing the things, like saying they’re drinking their water, exercising, and so forth, emphasizing a good night’s sleep, waking up with the sunshine, getting your feet in the grass for two minutes, grounding, let the infrared light come to you. I was also led by the Lord to have all my patients use powerful antioxidants over the many, many decades, and my choice and is still the best nutraceutical researched out there, scientifically, and DNA protection is Juice Plus.
So, when you think of all these things and so much more like natural hormones and other aspects, this is from God who will lead you into all truth. Even as a doctor, when I knew that my education taught me really nothing about what is health, how to help my patients move to a healthier, longer life, more functional, and inspire them of their value and worth as they grow older to the younger generations, how valuable their wisdom, and even their failures, they can use to train others by being open and transparent to help the next generation not to fall in the same pit holes. And so we have such value. I’m so inspired to try and teach everyone in my chair here how important their life and healthy living is to pass it on to their family friends and associates. So, all those things occurred because of, again, also many people before me, my father in particular, who was in food research, but it is the Lord who opened my eyes. It is the Lord who sits me down and says, trust me, in the long run, it will pay off. And then this hoax of a COVID irritation comes through and all my patients do well. None get hospitalized. None die from it. And so, even those that unfortunately took the jab, were really not as severely impacted, and probably even saved their life from passing.
And so, what do I have to say about the protocol for detoxing? How about opening your heart to the creator, God himself, who made this world in six days? I’m a young earth worldview of a Christian, and He put us all together. So, I asked him how to stay well, how to stay able-bodied to serve in my 70s now working so hard, and how to pass this on. So, my protocol is everything that I’ve been doing, all the past 44 years of practice, and chelation therapy, which improves microcirculation plus, you know, EDTA chelation, the molecule, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, that amino acid has a negative charge and spike protein has a positive charge and it just chelates it out of the body as well, plus improving circulation. So, there you go. And I’m glad it took a serious thing to wake up God’s creation and to have them listen to the old dinosaurs like us that have been called the quacks or just selling expensive urine. Now it doesn’t sound so expensive to take some things.
Now, on the other side of the pendulum, I’m seeing terrible corruption in the alternative functional medicine world. People making wild claims and putting near to profane claims on supplements or things to buy, to catch you, and intrigue you and make you clickbait onto it like, oh, maybe there is one mineral that will solve something, or maybe there is one supplement that will get rid of my ringing ears or my burning neuropathies. And I have to listen to all these silly commercials and I’m sick of it because there’s so many. So, it is the Holy Spirit that really is the discerner. You’ve got to find a doctor who is – you know, I don’t mind, and I do tell all my patients, my worldview is Christian, they all know it because I want my patients to know me and I want them to know where I’m coming from in my base of recommendation. There was a time when I wasn’t as grounded in my faith and my knowledge of the word of God when I first started practicing in my late 20s. I think I would’ve been more formal, but I think if someone asked me, are you a believer, or what is your view, I would’ve said, you know, I’m learning and I believe in God, I come from a Christian upbringing. I don’t think it’s wrong to ask who’s ever involved in your personal care, whether it’s your finances, or whether they’re repairing your home. Yeah. Are they going to be honorable? You have to remember in Proverbs, that a good man, a righteous man will suffer himself harm to keep the good word he gave. So, if you made a quote for a bid and you’re off, you know, and you settled on the bid and that family made their commitment that that’s all they could afford on that bid, and it actually took you, you know, 50% more of your costs, so you’re making less profit, you have to keep your word even if it hurts you. And so, sometimes doctors have to do late night calls or they have to stay later, or they have to do things, study more so that they keep their word, that they’re trying their best to be the best provider for their patients, even if it’s to our own hurt.
Question
“Vitamin D3/D2 and menaquinone. What is the right dose?” [0:29:04]
Answer
Well, the answer is there is no exact right dose. What you have to do is work with a doctor, start with a dose, and then get a blood sample, and see what that dose is doing for you. I prefer D3 because that’s the more end-stage vitamin D. And the menaquinone K2 is what you’re talking about. There’s MK-7 which is probably considered the most malleable as far as its job in helping with the transport of calcium and bone development, things like that. So, I would usually start all adults at 100 pounds at least at 5,000 international units of D3, and the menaquinone at least 45 mcg. But for my personal dose, because I’m well over 150 pounds, I would take 15000 IU D with 90 mcg of K2. So that’s what I do.
Question
“I have studied and used DMSO for years now, successfully curing two basal cell carcinomas (one on my nose and one on my leg, both biopsied and recommended Moh’s surgery), a meniscus tear that should have required surgery, several bladder and fungal infections, etc. How do you incorporate DMSO into IV therapy? And will you use the liquid form?” [0:30:24]
Answer
I used to use DMSO in the 1990s, well over 30, or 35 years ago, and it has such a horrible smell. It smells like garlic. That’s the sofa smell. It’s like having a stinky sewer drain all the time. And the IV room had such an overtone, and then the body, you emit this wherever you go. If you’re sitting next to someone in the theater or in a car who just had a DMSO infusion with their chelation and vitamin C, they just smell terrible. And how valuable was it in making a huge difference? I didn’t see that level. Now, I’m happy for you if topically in spot therapies you’ve had success on a lesion on your nose or on your leg with topical DMSO in the form of a cream or a paste. But the long and short of it is I do not ever intend to use it in the IV suite because I have such patients, California patients, who are so picky, if anything irritates them, they let me know. And God help me, if I have a smell of DMSO in my IV suite, I’m sure that would turn them off. So, I’m trying to compromise and accommodate them. So, that’s why I do that like that.
Question
“I just turned 59, exercise regularly. I do a keto gluten-free diet, drink plenty of water, etc. For the last year, I have been experiencing chest pressure and pain when I walk up stairs, hills, when hiking – anything up! I can do a HIIT class, aerobic class, machines, etc. with no issues. When it comes to going uphill, I get the debilitating pain.” [0:32:30]
Answer
Well, I don’t know who you are, but I would say you have to see your doctor and you have to get a stress treadmill and make sure that this is not your heart. Exertional chest pain is always felt to be cardiac unless proven otherwise. So, I would see your family doctor and your cardiologist and have them update or do a workup for ischemic heart disease. Now, one of the interesting things is, that over the many decades I’ve practiced medicine, there is a sweet spot. I mean, you may have some blood flow restriction in a coronary artery, let’s say. But as you start walking or exercising on a treadmill or a row machine or something like that, after the first minute or two, there are little cytokines. These are cell fragments, cell molecules that are associated with vasodilation. And that can improve the blood flow when you’re on a steady state treadmill or rowing machine or things at the gym or your HIIT training, during the warmup, and then you do have enough blood flow. So, don’t be surprised that even though you can do your warmup in your HIIT training and you’re starting up on your treadmill and so forth, that first minute or two, you might just have enough of those little cytokines circulating that it generates some vasodilation so that you do not get that. But as soon as you have to make steps upstairs, there’s no warmup, and you experience difficulty in the blood flow during that strain, please see a cardiologist. Okay. And then let us know how that went.
Question
“Can excessive Vitamin D cause excess calcium buildup in the body, potentially causing stiff blood vessels or kidney stones? If my blood draw shows a calcium level in the normal range, does that mean there’s no concern about vitamin D being too high?” [0:35:03]
Answer
In general, I’ve never seen that ever happen because nobody ever gets enough Vitamin D. The opposite is usually the case. Everyone is so low in their vitamin D, that they’re getting cancers and other infectious inflammatory chronic conditions, low grade, viral problems reactivated, that this is what the problem is, and chronic inflammation and blood vessel wall cell damage can attract calcium deposits, which is part of the repair inflammation pathway, which are helpful for a small localized injury, but when it’s constant and chronic, then it becomes generalized inflammation, never-ending, and then the calcium can build up. But no, I don’t see vitamin D alone. But usually, vitamin D should not, in my opinion, be given without vitamin K2. With vitamin K2, menaquinone like in the other questions, will help direct that calcium to go to lawful areas within the body like the bone regions to help with bone re-mineralization and not be deposited in soft tissues. So number one, no, I’ve never seen it from D; and number two, most people are too low. And then number three, they’re not taking vitamin K2 with it. And so, if you use and have a doctor that gives you the vitamin D3 with K2, checks your blood level, and then rechecks it within six months and knows how you’re responding to that dose, then you’re in a safe hand and under good care and monitoring.
Then he says, “If my blood draw shows a calcium level that’s in the normal range, does that mean there’s no concern about D being too high?” No, not necessarily. Your calcium can be normal when your vitamin D is very, very low. So, I do know if you take terribly abnormal levels of vitamin D, I have seen reports up to taking 60,000 units every day for two years, and it does not have any ill effect on the population studied. So, I think it would be very hard to see something like that. But in general, we’re always staying with a dose of around 20,000 international units with vitamin K2 daily as our max dose around here, and then we always do a checkup within six months for the blood levels, and the calcium levels have always been normal in these ranges. But a very, very high vitamin D level can involve calcium mobilization. Excess calcium mobilization can cause cardiac rhythm because it’s a charged particle and membrane reactivity for depolarization will be upset.
Question
“Is there any natural remedy for high Lipoprotein(a), the cholesterol that is primarily genetic and responsible for many cardiac events? There is no current treatment but looking to try to impact with lifestyle and supplements, if possible. Thank you.” [0:38:32]
Answer
The answer is no, to be abrupt. But in general, lipoprotein (a) is beaten up and listed as some kind of high risk for heart disease. I have always had high lipoprotein (a). And the thing is, what’s far, far more predictive is your insulin fasting level and your triglyceride fasting level and the HDL fasting level, whether you drink enough water, get a good night’s sleep, exercise, some aerobic and some weight lifting, don’t eat late at night, and these kind of things. So the insulin triglyceride, HDL is far, far, far more predictive. And of all the fancy dancy cardiac lipid profiles, the LDL size of the particle, the big fluffy size particle, usually it’s above 21,000 angstroms. Then that is considered low risk, even though you have a high LDL particle or LDL number. The LDL size of that transport lipoprotein LDL, if it’s a big fluffy one, is considered low-risk type A. So I think it’s useless to waste more words on lipoprotein (a). It’s never in 44 years of my practice made a difference. There’s no treatment for it other than being a good doctor. And have your doctors told you how important insulin is? We’ve been doing insulin here for, I don’t know, for decades long before it was a YouTube flare, a low-carb YouTube popularity conversation speaking point. So, I’m glad the guys are doing it. I’m glad they’re growing up and learning to practice medicine. So, good for them.
Question
“Hello Dr. E. The fruits, vegetables, and berries in Juice Plus are not listed as organic. What are your thoughts on this I normally never take a product with food in it unless it is listed as organic. I appreciate all your videos. I have learned so much from you 🙂 Thank you so much!” [0:40:39]
Answer
I’ll tell you why because they’re beyond organic. The testing is at the site of the small farms, and these are small farms, in many, many different locations, and the farms contract to grow their fruit, vegetables, and berries with water that is tested and filtered. They plant flowers that are natural repellent insecticides. They do and harvest these spectrographic tests after they flash, freeze it at the side of ripe, get it ripe and fully developed, and flash frozen. They do a test on the lot for any traces of pesticide, herbicide, or fungicide. When it gets to the plant, after they’ve thawed it and dried it out, dehydrated it, and dried it, they do a second spectromorphic test. After they’re processing and putting it into a capsule form, they do another testing, and I think there’s a fourth, I believe there’s four steps. So that’s way beyond putting a label that you’re organic. So, please go to the plant. You can go through the plant, look at the history, look at all their logs of their testing for pesticide, herbicide, fungicide, and yes, it’s far superior and it has set the standard, and actually got all these young guys who are now in their mid-50s and younger who are finally talking about nutrition with their specialty, and they are moved, most of them, by the science by the Juice Plus. It’s the most researched nutraceutical in the world. Use it.
Question
“I have a history of blood clots (deep venous thrombosis & pulmonary embolism starting at 21 years old) and have Factor V (heterozygous). I am on lifelong blood thinners. Can I take bioidentical hormones as I enter perimenopause with doctor supervision or is that just out of the question? Thanks.” [0:42:44]
Answer
I have several with Factor V. It’s not that uncommon. And people who have had prior deep venous thrombosis and even pulmonary embolisms. I have them all on hormones. But let me tell you. I demand all my patients who are on hormones to drink water every day, half their weight and pounds as ounces every day. I demand that they exercise. I demand that they take systemic enzymes like Vitalzym or Vascuzyme or systemic enzymes, which are these little proteolytic enzymes. I demand that they be low-carb, so they do not have sticky blood. I ask them to not eat late, and so forth. So when you do these things, that’s natural, God’s natural anticoagulants. I would ask you, has any of your doctors, every single time you sit down, every single time, say, how much water do you drink? Are you low carb? Are you trying not to eat late? Are you exercising? Are you taking your systemic enzymes? Tell me. No, they’re not doing that because you don’t get paid folks. Don’t come and be a doctor like me if you want a high fancy salary and cars, homes and vacations and cruises and jewelry and parties. No, do not do that, please, because there’s just too much homework to keep up with God’s creation and keep up with learning how to do that. You have a nice life. You have a nice home. You have good family time and enough time off, but look at it, you’ve got to work and spend time with people. Instead of seeing them as money cows going through your office, you have to see them as God’s creation and how on earth do I help this soul, this person? How do I inspire them, Lord? I’m often in my heart while I’m listening to them, I’m saying, what do they need, Lord, what do they need? What am I supposed to say to them? What can I motivate them? And it’s like salvation to me in the sense that I believe there’s only one way to heaven, and that’s through no man cometh under the Father, but by me, which is Jesus Christ. And so, I believe there are certain ways to help, and you can’t do it without coming through water. You know, you need the water. You can’t do it by gumming up your body with a lot of sugar. You can’t do it by eating late. You can’t do it by being inactive. So, it’s not like I have some great new idea for anyone, or that I’m a super smart person. Rather, I need to let them know I care about them, and your creation works, and your solutions work, Lord. Help me to find a way to inspire them, to love you and themselves and their future, so that they will take care of their bodies and do the simple things, the foundational things, and drink their water. So, yes I have been giving people hormones no matter what.
Question
“Hi Dr. Ellithorpe, I’m taking a trip to Texas for an extended time. With the extreme heat and humidity, do you recommend electrolytes? If so, which brand is best?” [0:46:24]
Answer
You know, there’s no encyclopedia or physician desk reference for supplementation, there really is not. And there certainly isn’t money in our type of so-called healthcare system. It’s not health and it’s not care. It’s planned medical management until your death and let us take all the money we can out of you, and the insurance companies are the middlemen and they’re the pimps. So, I’m never going to get any information about these things unless I know all the supplements, and it’s getting more and more corrupt. Use salt. Just salt your water, put a little dash in a glass that you have, and use half your weight in pounds as ounces of water every day. That’s the best thing to do.
Question
“Hi, I’ve heard so many mixed messages about statins. I am unfortunately on one. Do you have patients on statins? What tests do you do to consider if they are needed or not? Thank you!” [0:47:32]
Answer
Well, because you don’t need them because it’s a hard sell when you’re selling a lie. Well, you’re the one taking it. And so, what I’m going to say is go to YouTube and the title of it is High Cholesterol is Healthy. High Cholesterol is Healthy. It was done now a year ago by Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. David Diamond. He’s a PhD. They review all the pertinent well-regarded studies on statins and the teensy weensy, itsy bitsy, yellow polka dot bikini number that could benefit, and that’s only because it has a tiny anti-inflammatory effect. And the long-term studies that say statins are valuable really only increase the lifespan. I mean, if a doctor says you need this and you’ll be on it for 30 years until you die, you know, at 80 or 70. You know what? It extends your life maybe a week in the studies and the statistics, and look at all the money you gave to them? So, excuse me. Watch the YouTube, High Cholesterol Is Healthy.
Question
“Is the name of the book you recommended: Estrogen Matters by Carol Tavris? I have a patient with menopause symptoms who claims she can’t take estrogens because she had cancer and she carries the BRCA gene.” [0:49:30]
Answer
No. No, that’s not it. No. My name is Avrum Zvi Bluming, MD. That’s the author of that book. Well, I don’t believe breast cancer is caused by the BRCA gene itself. You have to have a lifestyle that tickles it out. Let’s say we all have a gene that makes us die and eventually none of us are going to beat that gene expressing itself. Now, it’s a cheap excuse for fear-mongering. No. All the wonderful, beautiful things that estrogen does, it helps your cardiovascular, it helps your immune system, it helps your memory, it helps your depth of sleep, so you get more healing time, it helps your bone density, it helps your skin. No, I am not going to sacrifice God’s natural creation of estradiol for some fear-mongering on a gene called BRCA. Besides which, this study, I was just looking at this one right here, and this is called hormone replacement therapy after breast cancer. It is time. Alright. So, it’s time to start doing hormone replacement therapy after breast cancer. And it goes on to say basically, I have so many patients that have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and we have put them on hormones afterwards. And I work with the oncologist and I haven’t talked with their oncologist. I’ve been here many decades. And so, I have many, many patients. And did they get a recurrence of the breast cancer? No. Did they die from the aggravation of their breast cancer? No. So, the test shows a retrospective meta-analysis, and here’s the title of the article, and then it shows that no one, who had breast cancer and went on natural hormones, had an increased incidence of recurrence or mortality. None of them. And I think they went all the way back to the 1980s for any of the people who had been put back on hormone therapy. So there you go.
Question
“Can you recommend a pediatrician who doesn’t prescribe vaccines for kids like candies?” [0:52:38]
Answer
Yeah. Well, the Juice Plus doctor, Bill Sears. His son also became a pediatrician. Bill Sears, I think, is retired now. They’re in San Clemente and his son is in the area here, also Sears. He wrote a book. He was chased to protect us from bad, bad, bad doctors like Dr. Sears. And what did he do? He extended the dosing times so the child’s immune system and gut could grow and get more mature between vaccinations. And so, they tried, the board tried to protect everyone and take his license to practice medicine away. Aren’t you glad your tax dollars go for such protection and chasing after wonderful good doctors who stand for something so wonderful as their patients and making medical decisions to extend the distance between vaccination? So, he wasn’t an anti-vaxxer.
Question
“Can the light stimulate the pineal gland through the skin? I’m curious because an osteopath said that our skin has photoreceptors and this can explain some cases of nocturnal awakenings.” [0:53:58]
Answer
Well, usually we’re talking about getting through your pupil through the retina, the back of your eye, and having a more direct pineal gland stimulation. But there’s without the light as in perceived light, and, these are packages of energy or photons. Some we can see. We have a spectrum that we can see, but there are many other wavelengths on either end that we can’t see, and animals, many of them can see a much wider range of these energy photon packages. So, when the energy changes, when the sun goes down, the electromagnetic energy is waning right now. It’s talking to us magnetically, vibrationally, whether you like it or not, it’s happening. So the answer is yes. Yes.
Question
“I’m 51 and I think I’m in menopause or pre-menopause at least. Sometimes I get dizzy and feel an overwhelming sense of not feeling well. It’s hard to describe, but it’s scary and feels awful.” [0:55:02]
Answer
What I would say is that perimenopausal symptoms are what we call climacteric symptoms, which have never really been defined. Climacteric. And that’s, you’ll get like a wave and then you feel like you’re floating suddenly and lightheaded, and it’s seconds, it’s seconds. This is usually the imbalance between your progesterone and estradiol, vasomotor volume correction for when you stand up, move around, your body’s pumping from your head to your toe. So, all the things that we recommend, drinking water, not eating late at night, doing exercise with weight training, aerobic training, trying to get your 8,000 steps in a day getting a good night’s sleep. But as you approach menopause, I always tell my doctors here, to start checking girls’ progesterone levels and see if they’re ovulating. So, if they’re 18, 20, 21, 23, somewhere around day 15 of their menstrual cycle, with day one being the first day of the period starting, we should see progesterone from an ovulation egg. But stress will suppress it. So, if you’re in a stressful marriage, stressful work, or world war, you’re worried about something, that cortisol will inhibit the release of luteinizing and follicle stimulation hormone, and you won’t ovulate, you won’t get progesterone, then you get imbalance. So there’s a thing called estrogen dominance. And then eventually you don’t make the estradiol, then that stops, then you start getting more hot flashes and it’s just awful and ruins your sleep and everything.
So, what I would say is we are telling people that part of a good, healthy program for pediatricians taking care of junior high and teenagers is to get the girls’ day 20, day 15, 20 progesterone levels with their estradiol to see what their levels are periodically that are normal for them. And if you’re perimenopausal, start using natural identical progesterone days 15 through 25 of your cycle, which would simulate an ovulation with progesterone production, natural progesterone. And it’ll make you feel much better. Your body will think you’re younger, and longer. You’ll menstruate more regularly, predictably. And I never let myself go through menopause. I started using hormones in my 40s, and I’ve always had a menstrual cycle and I still to this day in my 70s have it, I just didn’t allow myself to go through that crisis, the bone loss, the poor sleep, and all that kind of stuff. Hopefully that helps. Find a good functional doctor that will help you with that.
Question
“What do you suggest I do to prevent terrible episodes? Could it be from high blood pressure also? 160/100?” [0:58:13]
Answer
Oh, yeah. So all those things I said with the progesterone. Could it be from high blood pressure also? That would be hard to believe. We all, when we’re stressed or we’re doing exercise, might peak up to these moments of blood pressure. But if it’s sustained, then you need to start addressing it with your doctor.
Question
“You recently mentioned more/new research coming out on structured water. Can you summarize?” [0:58:43]
Answer
They are looking at this in cancer therapy, as far as helping healthy cells and the T-cell function of your immune system act more appropriately than immune surveillance and actually identifying rogue circulating tumor cells and identifying them to kill them off early on. So that’s where the research is at. I have to pull that and study it along with so many other books I’m reading and trying to do. Yeah. So, it’s with cancer therapy and getting much more successful standard cancer treatments if you drink water in between their therapies, but super wonderful if you do it even before you get cancer, and you do the healthy things, like eat a low carb diet, not eat late, exercise, get a good night sleep, those kind of things.
