A report from earlier this month stated that Samsung postponed the Galaxy S25 Edge event to May 13. As a reminder, it was originally expected to launch in April. Well, a new report just surfaced, corroborating that information, while adding more details on top of it.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch on May 13 in Korea, May 30 in the US
Based on a report from FNNews, from Korea, the device will indeed launch on May 13. Pre-orders will be accepted from May 14 to May 20, while the Galaxy S25 Edge will go on sale starting on May 23.
According to this report, the device will first launch in China and South Korea, and then in the US. The US launch will take place on May 30, if this report is to be believed. Some other markets will get the device later on.
That same report has also shared the expected pricing for the device. Well, at least for Korea. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to cost KRW 1.5 million ($1,049) for the 256GB storage variant. The 512GB storage model will cost KRW 1,63 million ($1,140).
The phone’s price will be higher outside of Korea, of course
Needless to say, the price tag will be higher in other markets. We’ve reported a ballpark for the prices a while back. In the case of US, Trump’s tariffs could also play a major role in the phone’s price. We’ll see.
The Galaxy S25 Edge was teased by Samsung back in January, during the Galaxy S25 series launch event. The phone’s design was showcased during that launch event, and then again at MWC 2025 in Barcelona.
Samsung will confirm all details on May 13. The device is expected to be only 5.8mm thick, and it’s also expected to include a 200-megapixel main camera on the back. A telephoto camera will not be included at all, the second camera on the back will be an ultrawide unit. The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is expected to fuel this phone.
